This tutorial will show you how to create a new basic dataset based on a set of input files that you upload to a directory.
💡 Before you start: This tutorial assumes you are in a Directory-based pipeline type. If you are in a Directory-based pipeline, go to Create Basic (no-input) Dataset, or for general Dataset creation tutorial, go to Datasets. If you're not sure, send us a message through the help messenger.
Navigate to the Datasets page by clicking the pipeline name in the left toolbar and then clicking Datasets.
From the Datasets page, click + Add New
Enter a name for your dataset. In the Directory Key input field, leave the dropdown blank and click on the upload checkbox to the right of the field.
This will create the dataset and bring you to the Files listing for the newly created dataset. Click on the upload button in the appropriate row of the Files table to get to the uploader screen.
Drag and drop your input data files, or click in the box to open your computer's file browser.
When you are done adding files, click the green Done Adding Files button. This will return you to the Files listing for the new dataset. You can click the All Files tab link at the top right of the Files table to confirm that your files were uploaded.
The dataset is now ready for further analysis. From the Files listing, click on the dataset name in the top navigation bar to go to the dataset page, where you can run your first execution or upload results from Offline-Versions.
